Despite being easily treatable, clubfoot – a common birth defect that affects the muscles and bones in the feet – remains one of the leading causes of disability throughout the developing world. In Zimbabwe, as in many parts of the world, life for the physically disabled can be a living nightmare. In the February issue of Geographical, photojournalist Tommy Trenchard travels to Zimbabwe, where he meets the doctors helping to change the lives of children born with clubfoot.
